Who connects

One network for every loyalty currency

Banks, airlines, telecoms, and retailers run different programs — but the same problem: points that only work in one place. Connect makes any program interoperable with the rest.

How it works

One API. The whole network. SAR settlement.

You integrate once with Resal. Your members stay on your app — Connect never touches their authentication. Behind the scenes, one call fans out to every program you're approved to work with.

  1. 1

    Connect once

Integrate Resal Connect's REST API with your own keys — production and sandbox. One integration reaches every program you're approved to work with, no point-to-point builds.

    API
  2. 2

    Choose your connections

Browse the Partner Network, request connections to the programs your members want, and approve incoming requests to your own program. You set the rate, the cap, and the terms.

    Network
  3. 3

    Members transact on your surface

Members exchange points, pay with points, or earn — inside your app, with your branding and your authentication. Connect translates each call to the right program in real time.

    Live
  4. 4

    Settle & reconcile in SAR

Every transaction settles against a SAR pool, is logged, and rolls up into one monthly statement — reconciled and audit-ready for finance.

Capabilities

Everything a connected program can do

The operations that turn a closed loyalty program into an interoperable one — exposed through a single API and managed from one portal.

Points exchange
Feature 01

Points exchange

Let members convert their points into a partner program's currency — and accept conversions into yours. Bilateral, at a rate you agree, capped where you want it, settled in SAR.

Pay with points
Feature 02

Pay with points

Members spend their points as payment across Resal's network of 2,000+ merchants. The merchant is paid in SAR; the conversion happens in real time at checkout, on your surface.

Issuance & accrual
Feature 03

Issuance & accrual

Issue or top up points programmatically — trigger earn events from your own systems and credit members through the same integration.

Feature 04

Partner Network & connections

Browse available programs, request connections, review incoming requests, and manage every corridor — approve, counter, or decline on your terms, with status visible end to end.

Feature 05

Rate agreements

Set and version the rate for each connection, with caps and expiry. Change a rate and the counter-party reviews it before it goes live — no rate moves without agreement.

Settlement & reconciliation
Feature 06

Settlement & reconciliation

Every corridor rolls into one SAR-denominated statement: gross volume, fees, and per-partner reconciliation — exportable and audit-ready.

The platform

Infrastructure your IT and procurement teams can sign off

Connect is a schema-translation and orchestration layer — it does the integration work so your team doesn't build a connector per partner.

One key, every connection

Your team holds one set of Resal API keys. The same integration fans out to every program you're approved to work with — you never hold a partner's credentials.

Authentication stays with you

Member identity and authentication — OTP, PIN, biometric — always run on your surface, in your app. Connect translates the call; it never touches your members' credentials.

Webhooks & real-time events

Subscribe to transaction completion, settlement, connection-state, and rate-agreement events to keep your systems in sync automatically.

Sandbox & production

Test every corridor end to end in a sandbox with the same API surface before you go live — no surprises in production.

Controls & approvals

Role-based access, connection-level caps, and rate agreements that require both sides to agree. Every state change is recorded.

Reconciliation & audit

A complete, timestamped audit trail of every transaction, rate change, and connection approval — exportable for finance and compliance.

Why Connect

Stop building one integration per partner

What changes when interoperability runs on shared infrastructure instead of point-to-point projects.

Security & compliance

Enterprise-grade, and outside the payments perimeter

Loyalty points are commercial instruments, not e-money — so Connect is not a bank and is not SAMA-licensed, and partners can adopt it on commercial merits. The controls procurement and security teams ask for are already in place. Reach our Data Protection Officer at dpo@resal.me.

PDPL-compliant

Built to Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, with a named Data Protection Officer and a data processing agreement in every contract.

ISO 27001 certified

Information security managed to the ISO 27001 standard.

Data residency in KSA

Member identifiers and transaction data are processed and hosted inside Saudi Arabia.

Your members' auth never leaves you

Connect never stores or handles member credentials — authentication always runs on your surface.

Audit trail & reconciliation

A complete, timestamped, exportable record of every transaction, rate change, and connection — built for your compliance and finance teams.

ZATCA e-invoicing

Platform and transaction fees are invoiced as ZATCA Phase 2 (Fatoorah) compliant e-invoices, with VAT itemised.

FAQ

Integration, compliance & commercials — answered

  • Resal Connect is loyalty-interoperability infrastructure. With one integration, your loyalty program can exchange points with other approved programs, let members pay with points across Resal's merchant network, and issue points — with every transaction settled in SAR and fully reconciled. It's a shared rail, not a gifting product.
  • No. Loyalty points are commercial instruments, not e-money, so Connect operates outside the payments-services regulatory perimeter. Resal is not a bank and is not SAMA-licensed — we move loyalty value between programs and settle the SAR equivalence, not cash.
  • No. Member identity and authentication — OTP, PIN, biometric — always stay on your surface, in your app. Connect is a schema-translation layer: it translates your API call to each partner program and returns the result. It never stores or handles your members' credentials.
  • You integrate once against our REST API, with a sandbox that mirrors production, and that single integration reaches every program you're approved to work with. We'll confirm a timeline for your specific stack during your demo and technical briefing.
  • You browse the Partner Network, request connections to programs your members want, and review incoming requests to your own program. Each connection has a rate, a volume cap, and terms that both sides agree — and a rate change is reviewed by the other party before it goes live.
  • Each partner maintains a SAR pool. Transactions settle against the pool, are logged, and roll up into one monthly statement with gross volume, fees, and per-partner reconciliation — exportable and audit-ready.
  • Yes. Connect is built to Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, holds ISO 27001 certification, and processes member identifiers and transaction data inside Saudi Arabia. A named Data Protection Officer is reachable at dpo@resal.me, and a data processing agreement accompanies every contract.
  • Pricing is tailored to your program — its size, the connections you need, and how your members will use it. After a short discovery call we'll put a clear, fixed proposal in front of you, with everything quoted in SAR. Request a demo and we'll scope it together.
  • Connect maintains the adapter to each program centrally. When a partner's API changes, the adapter is updated for everyone — you don't rebuild or maintain a connector per partner.
  • Request a demo. We'll walk through the network, the API, and the commercial model, run a technical briefing for your team, and scope the connections that matter to your members.
